Lactation:
Feeding your baby is one of the initial and most essential aspects of caring for a newborn. The factor that most influences successful lactation is the presence of support (knowledge, guidance, assurance, encouragement).
As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), my aim is to step into that space of needed support and be an accessible resource to you in your goal to breastfeed.
Lactation services are accessible through over-the-phone support, in-home lactation visits, and videoconferencing sessions. During these visits, you will receive knowledge and guidance and (hopefully) answers to any questions that may arise.
IBCLC Rates:
My services are available through the following ways:
Visits until 8wks of life are covered fully by MSP.
After 8 wks of life:
In-home lactation consult visit (60 mins): $125
$25 for additional travel outside of 30 min radius of Langley, BC
Videoconferencing lactation consult visit (60 mins): $100
Over-the-phone support: $25 per 15 min increment
Lactation Class (usually about 2hrs): $200
Group rates available for two or more families
Lactation support should be accessible regardless of ability to pay. I have, personally, benefited from providers who offered sliding scale rates during seasons of my life, and I am grateful for their generosity.
Sliding scale rates are available. Please let me know if you would like this option when booking.
